Basic Maintenance Templates

  • {{cleanup}} — For words not listed in the standard format, or the page is crowded.
  • {{nisenglisc}} — For wordum þe næbbaþ hira sweotolunge ná on Englisce.
  • {{stub}} — For words that aren't complete.
  • {{substub}} — For words that need a section completed; insert below the section.

Exotic letters in the Pronunciation section

Wiktionary uses three pronunciation systems: IPA, SAMPA, and one in the style used by English dictionaries in the United States. Sometimes this last is called AHD but this is strictly inaccurate.
